BACK TO SCHOOL!
Cassie started school Monday Aug. 25. She was so excited! She had a great first day. She loves her teacher and is happy to be a second grader. Luke had his kindergarten assessment on Monday too. He will start class on Thursday. They are growing up fast!

NEW HAIRCUTS!!!!!!

For back-to-school, we all got new haircuts. We went up to my friend Michelle's house and she gave us all new do's. We all went short so that school day mornings would go a little smoother!

This is a picture of lake Como in Italy. Someday I am going to visit it is breath taking. Ahh to dream. Last Sunday I received a Stake cook book. So far we have tried two recipes both were great. Tonight we had Kahlua Pork, which is a Hawaiian dish. I fist tasted Kahlua Pork when we were living in Syracuse, and I have loved it end wanted the recipe ever since. I was amazed at how easy it is to make. Pay attention Dave you can make this for Steph. after you get married and she will be impressed.

Kahlua Pork
2 to 3 lb pork butt
11/2 tbsp. Sea salt
1/2 c. water
1 tsp liquid smoke

Rinse Pork butt and place in crock pot. Add water and liquid smoke, then sprinkle salt on pork. Cover and cook on high for 6-8 hrs. Turn down to low. Remove pork and shred. Place Shredded pork back into juices until ready to serve. Cooks about 8-10 hrs. total.

We ate our pork over white rice you could make it into great pulled pork sandwiches. Try it out let me know what you think.
The greatest thing happened yesterday at church. Jack started folding his arms during one of the prayers in sacrament. Then when we prayed before dinner he did it again. It is so cute. Its always nice when your kids finally pick up on some of the good things you do.
